Ameilorative effect of lycopine against cisplatin toxicity in rats

The following study aimed to investigate the hepato and neuro protective efficacy of Lycopine against Cisplatin which induced hepatotoxicity neurotoxicity. Twenty Five male Wister rats were used for this experiment they equally divided into 5 groups (5 per group): group (1) served as control injected 1ml saline orally once daily 20 day, (2) Corn Oil administrated 1 mL days, (3) (10 mg/kg b.wt) days. , (4) treated (6 b.wt.) intrapertonialy at day 10 (5) Lycopine+Cisplatin b.wt days 6 intraperitonialy . Result revealed that liver damage indicated by significant increase in biomarkers ALP, AlT, AST along with decrease albumin, Moreover marked tissue concentrations malondialdehyde(MDA) Total antioxidant(TAC) reduce Glutathione reductase(GSH),that oxidative stress Also results up regulation IL-6 down IL-10 brain compared However, interestingly concurrent adminsteration dose level 10mg/kg can mitigate these toxic effects caused Cisplatin.So it is concluded antioxidant anti-inflammatory moderate Cisplatin-induced
